who *WE* are

inclusivewe (sic) is more than a brand; it is a way of life. We believe all people are equal and should be treated as such. Human behavior is shaped by the experiences we have, our genetics, and possibly even the experiences of our ancestors. When we seek to understand one-another, it allows us to operate from a place of compassion rather than reaction. We know that by opening up communication between people, we can help shift perceptions and increase understanding.

Our blog, social posts, and gear all have one goal: increase inclusion. Our hope is that through informative blog posts, images, and quotes, we can spark thoughts and conversations that empower people to understand and respect individuals no matter how different they may be.

Be Antiracist ✊🏾✊🏼✊🏿✊🏽

We are all walking around in different worlds based on the varied colors of our skin and the numerous ways we can experience privilege and marginalization. By fostering understanding, we can help to further promote antiracist ideas & action.

Now is the time to take a stand for your beliefs in justice and equality for all peoples. Angela Davis said it best:

A portion of profits from any Antiracist gear will be contributed to an antiracist organization. Most of these profits will go to the Antiracist Research and Policy Center as it works to create political policies to fight racism.

The Future is Feminist 💃🏽👯‍♀️💪🏾

Gender equality has felt as if it were on the horizon for decades. It is not. We still suffer from deep rooted misogyny in our everyday language, culture, and policies. Our children are being raised to perpetuate toxic masculinity in the way they talk and act. Breaking through this cyclic pattern and into a new era is going to take hard work.

We must foster the recognition and promotion of women in the workplace by creating conversations around actual experiences and how to address them. A lot of this hinges at the top as we give our next generation a role model of power and poise in our nation’s leadership. The time is now to vote for women and people of color.

The Future is Feminist and your purchases should reflect that. Profits from every item go to a nonprofit organization that is actively promoting gender equality. If you have a nonprofit you think fits this description, please email us your suggestions to sharingiscaring@inclusivewe.com.

Love is Love is Love 💕🌈

Respect and understanding of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer folks everywhere is a key piece of our purpose. Let us give the world a human view of what it means to be LGBTQ. Becoming comfortable with someone else’s sexuality as it differs from yours may feel (usually from family and social programing) like a very difficult task. This is often nothing compared to what individuals feel as they try to understand their own sexuality.

In the spirit of inclusivity, we want to make people of all genders and sexualities feel welcome, loved, and free to be themselves. This is regardless of how they identify or even if they choose not to identify as anything. Through our inclusion and inspired conversations, we hope to give all people an understanding and respect of gender and sexuality no matter what form it takes.

Articles and gear in the LGBTQ space will create a feeling of normalcy around all sexuality and empower people to own it. Profits from these items will be contributed to nonprofits and foundations working to increase protective policies that promote equality regardless of gender identity and sexuality in our government, schools, and places of work. While we will often support the HRC, we may occasionally support other institutions with similar philosophies and missions.

Namaste Respecting Your Beliefs 🙏🏽

Respecting another person’s religious or spiritual views and practices is a big part of creating inclusivity around the globe. We are all walking very different paths and we must recognize that someone else’s path, while it may not appeal to you, is often a big part of their identity. It is our intention to shed light on the fact that we do not have to agree with someone’s beliefs in order to make them feel included and loved.

Regardless of our religious, spiritual, agnostic, or atheistic views and practices, we are all human and deserve to be treated with kindness and basic respect. We have not yet located a foundation or nonprofit that is actively promoting religious, spiritual, agnostic, and atheist respect. If you have a nonprofit you think fits this description, please email us your suggestions to sharingiscaring@inclusivewe.com.

Alllll the Other Differences 👩🏻‍🦼🙇🏽‍♀️

The human race is a marvel. We are so similar at the biological level, but when you dive down into individual appearances, views, cultures, and perception, there are countless differences. This can be anything from including people with disabilities to creating an acceptance of those with a different socioeconomic status and even understanding the importance of trauma informed care and communication.

Often we will highlight one of these differences specifically to create understanding behind it, but sometimes, we will just provide general content about how to accept others as they are and where they are in their life’s journey.

Profits from any gear associated with this group will be distributed to specific organizations depending on the campaign at hand.

Intersectionality 💫

Here at inclusivewe, we strive to understand the vastness and variousness of the factors that play into oppression and marginalization. We understand oppression as a simultaneous expression of these stressors, and that one’s political and social identities combined can create unique forms of discrimination. Thus, we have carefully selected a variation of these topics to cover, divulge, and discuss as a means to bring awareness to the corruption of the system which seeks to continue this oppressive experience for many groups and individuals.

We believe that by acknowledging and actively discussing how these cultural disadvantages all play into one another simultaneously to maintain this corruption, we might bring to light a method for change. We strive to discuss each topic from an inclusive and intersectional stance, actively working to be void of white privilege, and to have an incredible, intelligent, and diverse team that actively supports this discussion.

Short Term Goals; Long Term Vision 👀

In the short term, we will be bringing you new content on how to participate in, promote, and understand inclusivity. We will also offer apparel (shirts, stickers, mugs, etc.) to help you promote inclusivity, to help pay our contributors, and to provide funding to organizations that are fighting for causes we believe in. All profits after paying our contributors for content will go to a non-profit that corresponds with the subject of the gear.

Our long-term vision is to create our own non-profit whose mission will be to teach and inspire inclusivity in schools across the nation. And we are **pumped** about this.

Don’t Smack a Baby 🥺

We are in our infancy and your patience and opinions are especially appreciated during this initial growth period. We are working to build a team of people from all walks of life to provide you, our reader and consumer of thoughts and ideas, with perspectives from diverse backgrounds that help us all walk through inclusivity with greater ease.

As we grow and work to provide you with content and cool ass gear, please be kind. If we mess up, let us know so we can continue to grow with you. And most of all, please reach out to sharingiscaring@inclusivewe.com if you would like to contribute to our content or just have a good idea you would like to share & explore with us. After all, i + u = we.
